Ingredients for Guangdong New Year Snack – Youjiao
3 jin of medium-gluten flour
4 eggs
150 g of lard
An appropriate amount of water
An appropriate amount of sugar (for the Youjiao skin)
An appropriate amount of peanuts, sesame seeds, coconut shreds, and white granulated sugar (for the filling)
Steps to Make Guangdong New Year Snack – Youjiao
1. Put the flour, sugar, eggs, and lard into a plate and mix well. Then start to knead the dough into a ball with an appropriate amount of warm water.
2. After forming a ball, cut it into equal parts and roll them into thin sheets. Use a round lid to cut out round flour slices.
3. Wrap the filling with the flour slices and pinch out a flower shape.
4. Finally, heat oil in a pan and fry the Youjiao.
